New Media Internship
Mayor Villaraigosa seeks to harness the power of new media platforms to communicate with the people of Los Angeles in the clearest, most responsive, and most transparent way possible.
He created the New Media Internship to give talented individuals with an interest in political communication a chance to contribute to his efforts while gaining invaluable professional experience. Internships are available to those with demonstrable ability in at least one of the following fields: graphic design, web design, animation, photography, videography, online organizing, and communications.
Interns will work in the office of the Director of New Media. The Mayor's New Media Internship program is unpaid. Applicants are considered on a rolling basis--currently we are looking at applications for the summer period. The work schedule and length of internships vary from case to case.
Students, particularly art, film, and CS majors, are encouraged to apply.
